SALLISAW (KFSM) – The cause of death has been revealed for two bodies that were found in Sallisaw on Sept. 28, police say.

On Sept. 28, officers were called to check on the welfare of two residents at a home in the 100 block of South Maple Street. When they arrived, they found two bodies in the house, identified as Katie Waggle and Vince Rayner, according to a Facebook post on the Sallisaw Police Department page.

The bodies were sent to Tulsa for an autopsy, and the results of that autopsy revealed that Waggle’s cause of death was a homicide. She was killed by sharp force trauma, the post states.

Rayner’s death was thought to be a suicide, but the medical examiner hasn’t made an official ruling on that yet. Still, the evidence in the case and investigation support those findings, according to the post.
