LOS ANGELES (KTLA) – A pit bull is recovering from surgery after being stabbed several times during a bloody attack, possibly by a neighbor, in southern Los Angeles, according to KTLA.
Spartacus, the 2-year-old pit bull, had a two-hour surgery and received more than 1,000 stitches after someone stabbed him several times, KTLA reported.
Reports of a dog being stabbed came in to authorities around 4 a.m. on Oct. 11, police said.
“It almost looks like they tried to cut his head off, it’s ear-to-ear,” a worker at the clinic that treated Spartacus said. “He seriously almost looks like an autopsy victim.”
