2015 Razorback Football Schedule Released

For the first time since 2004, Arkansas won’t play its first away game of the season until October.

The 2015 Arkansas football schedule was released Tuesday evening, featuring seven in-state games including Southeastern Conference matchups against Auburn, Mississippi State and Missouri.

The Razorbacks will open the season with three games in Arkansas. The 2015 season starts Sept. 5 against UTEP, marking the third meeting between the two programs and the first since 2010. UA will meet Toledo for the first time at school history in War Memorial Stadium in Little Rock on Sept. 12. On Sept. 19, the series against former Southwest Conference rival Texas Tech continues as the Red Raiders visit Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium for the first time since 1990.

On Sept. 26, the Razorbacks return to AT&T Stadium, the home of the Dallas Cowboys, to continue a neutral-site series with Texas A&M. The Razorbacks and Aggies played in Arlington from 2009-11, all Arkansas victories, before moving to a home-and-home agreement for 2012 and 2013 when Texas A&M joined the SEC prior to the 2012 season. The 2015 game will be the second in an 11-year agreement between the schools to meet at AT&T Stadium.

For the first time since 2004, Arkansas won’t play its first away game of the season until October. On Oct. 3, the Razorbacks make a trip to Knoxville, Tenn., to take on Tennessee. The last time the Razorbacks and Volunteers met in Neyland Stadium was Oct. 5, 2002. Arkansas will then travel to Tuscaloosa, Ala., for an Oct. 10 meeting with the Alabama Crimson Tide. The Razorbacks return home Oct. 24 to take on Auburn and then host UT-Martin the following weekend, Oct. 31.

The Razorbacks open November on the road with a Nov. 7 date at Ole Miss before traveling to LSU on Nov. 14. Arkansas will end the year with back-to-back home conference games for the first time since 1975 starting with Mississippi State on Nov. 21.

Arkansas ends its season with Missouri, which replaces South Carolina this year as the Razorbacks’ annual crossover opponent from the Eastern Division. The Razorbacks and Tigers will meet for the eighth time, and the first time ever in Fayetteville, in a series that dates back to 1906.
