BENTON COUNTY (KFSM) – Benton County Sheriff Kelley Cradduck is delegating additional day-to-day operations to Chief Richie Conner due to his wife’s “very serious” medical issues, according to a news release.
He is not taking a leave of absence, but he is freeing up more time to be available for his wife’s doctors visits and anything else she needs, the release states.
Cradduck said that this latest announcement concerning the delegation of additional day to day duties to Conner is effective on Oct. 25. In the release, Cradduck thanked those who helped support his family and continue to do so during his wife’s medical issues.
“I feel that this information is private in nature, however, I felt compelled to let the facts be known to the public as to why I had missed a number of quorum court meetings after reading today’s Rogers Morning News editorial, which contained several erroneous and callous comments,” Cradduck said.
