OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) – A controversial monument of the Ten Commandments at the Oklahoma state Capitol has been demolished, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
The stone monument was privately funded and stood six feet tall. It was placed at the Capitol in 2012, KFOR reported.
Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP) said around 7 p.m. on Oct. 23 troopers were called to an abandoned vehicle that was driven into the statue, according to KFOR.
