WASHINGTON COUNTY (KFSM) – The trial date has been reset for a woman accused of shooting her husband in the face, officials say.

Robin Phillips was previously scheduled for a court date of Wednesday (Oct. 29), but now her trial has been rescheduled for Nov. 18, according to officials.

She already had her trial date moved once so she could undergo a mental evaluation.

Police said Phillips shot her husband James in the face with a semi-automatic pistol following an argument on Nov. 29, 2013. She then cut her own neck with a knife, according to the Springdale Police Department.

Both were transported to local hospitals with serious injuries and later released, police said.

Phillips pleaded not guilty to the charges against her in January.

Less than a week before her scheduled June 3 trial, Phillips submitted court paperwork saying she planned on using mental defect as a defense in the case.
