It was a scenario Arkansas has seen far too many times in the two years under Bret Bielema.

The Razorbacks led No. 1 Mississippi State at the half and were tied heading into the fourth quarter but the Bulldogs got a 69-yard touchdown pass from Dak Prescott to escape with a 17-10 win.

Prescott hit Fred Ross for the go ahead score but Arkansas had chances in the final 13 minutes to tie the game.

None were bigger than a 3rd-and goal from the two but the Razorbacks were turned away on back to back rushing attempts.

Arkansas then had a final chance in the closing seconds as Arkansas moved inside the Bulldogs’ 20 but Brandon Allen’s pass to Demetrius Wilson was picked off in the end zone with 15 seconds left.

Allen finished 22-of-42 for 238 yards while Prescott set a career high with 331 yards on 18-of-27 passing while being picked off twice. Hunter Henry led the Razorbacks with seven catches for 110 yards.

Alex Collins had 93 yards rushing and a second quarter score that gave Arkansas a 10-0 lead. Mississippi State was held to just 128 yards rushing.
