CRAWFORD COUNTY (KFSM) – A Mulberry woman was killed Thursday night in a three-vehicle wreck involving a Kenworth truck on the highway, according to the Arkansas State Police.
Brittany A. Brewer, 23, died of her injuries suffered in the wreck, which occurred on Interstate 40 at 7:43 p.m. Her body was transported to the Washington County Coroner’s Office, according to a state police crash report.
Brewer was driving her Ford Taurus westbound on the interstate when the Kenworth truck in front of her stopped. She did not brake in time and struck the truck, the report states. Brewer re-entered the roadway and was then hit by a Chevrolet pickup, police said.
The driver of the Kenworth truck, Mark Hudspeth, of Briggsville, and the man driving the pickup, Richard Smithson, of Bella Vista, were not injured in the wreck, state police said.
