FAYETTEVILLE (KFSM) – A Fayetteville couple returned home on Nov. 1 to find a man in his underwear and covered in blood passed out in their guest bedroom, police say.
Gabriel Moore, 18, of Fayetteville was arrested and booked into the Washington County Detention Center on Nov. 1 at 9:41 a.m. and faces charges of first- degree criminal mischief, criminal trespass, minor in possession of alcohol and fleeing, according to the jail’s intake report.
Police were sent to the 1900 block of West Ora Drive in response to a call about a possible burglary, according to an arrest report.
After arriving at the home, police spoke to one of the victims who said that he and his wife came home around 4:40 a.m. and found a man they did not know in their residence. The victims were told to wait in their vehicle, and police entered the home to find the man, the report states.
The officers noted a large amount of broken glass from a sliding glass door in their report. The man, later identified as Moore, was found passed out in the guest bedroom near the front door, according to the report.
“Moore was in his underwear and was covered in dried and fresh blood from several cuts on his arms and legs, ” the report states.
Police tried to verbally wake Moore up, but he did not respond. They shook him to wake him up and asked him if he knew where he was. He thought he was back in his University of Arkansas residence hall “The Quads.” The officers told him he was in someone else’s home on their bed and had fallen asleep there, according to the report.
Due to the amount of blood, EMS personnel were called to examine Moore, the report states.
While talking with Moore, police noted in their report that they could smell an odor of intoxicants coming from his breath and body. He also seemed confused as they spoke with him, according to the report.
Once EMS finished examining Moore, he refused to go to the hospital. He said he was about to “pee in the floor,” so, officers allowed him to use a bathroom in the residence, the report states.
While in the bathroom, he escaped out the window and fled on foot, according to the report.
A 911 operator who took a call concerning Moore’s escape through the window noted he was described as a white man around six feet tall wearing a Superman costume, the report states.
Moore was later found in an area of West Wedington Drive and North Porter Road, according to the report.
The victims told police the damage done to their residence by Moore was estimated to be $1,500, the report states.
Moore’s bond was set at $2,500, and he bonded out of jail on the same day he was booked in at 3:46 p.m. His first court date is scheduled for Dec. 5 at 7:45 a.m., according to the jail’s intake report.
The University of Arkansas campus directory lists a Gabriel Moore as a freshman studying engineering, but there is no indication that this is the same person who was arrested on Nov. 1.
