JOHNSON COUNTY (KFSM) -The manhunt for a Pope County man is over after authorities in Morrilton arrested the first-degree murder suspect. The suspect was sought in connection with a burned body that was found in the trunk of a car over the weekend at Cabin Creek Park in Johnson County.
Prosecutors filed an arrest warrant Wednesday afternoon for Nathaniel Talkington, 25. Local deputies began looking for Talkington, who they said might be driving a 2007 Honda Accord. Talkington was arrested later in the afternoon and will be transported to the Johnson County Detention Center, according to the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office.
Talkington’s passenger, Kristen Horn, was also taken into custody for questioning, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies found a body in the trunk of a burned car early Saturday morning (Nov. 1) after responding to a vehicle fire in Knoxville, according to the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office.
A deputy received a report around 1:30 a.m. of a vehicle on fire near the pavilion at Cabin Creek Park. Responding firefighters later pried open the trunk of the BMW that was on fire and discovered a badly burned body, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
