LOGAN COUNTY (KFSM) – Several schools in the Paris area were placed on lockdown Wednesday during a manhunt for a local suspect who was later caught, school administrators say.
Law enforcement for Paris and Logan County contacted schools around 11 a.m. to tell them they were searching for a suspect and should activate lockdown procedures.
Teachers locked students in their classrooms and secured school buildings. The lockdown was lifted around 3 p.m. after authorities told school administrators the suspect had been caught, school officials said.
Authorities with the Logan County Sheriff’s Office and Arkansas State Police are not saying who the suspect is or why they were searching for the suspect.
