FAYETTEVILLE (KFSM)- The Fayetteville Half Marathon brought more than 900 runners from all over the nation Sunday (Nov. 9).
Erin Dolan, of Bentonville, won first place. Her time was 1:22:30.
The 13.1 mile run took place at the Lake Fayetteville trail. Each runner wore a timing chip and received a medal the shape of the state of Arkansas.
Andrew Thompson came from Springfield, Missouri.
"It's my 9th half marathon so it's not as big of a deal anymore but it was still a pretty good feeling," Thompson said. "I hit a [personal record] today so that was a pretty good feeling to get that."
Brandy Scott, of Rogers, said it was her first marathon.
"I felt like I was in one of those movies where you are going down a hallway and it keeps moving," Scott said. "I felt like it was getting further away, but it was awesome to be able to finish."
