SPRINGDALE (KFSM)- The Bentonville Bomb Squard destroyed "explosive devices" found at a Springdale apartment Sunday (Nov. 9). Landon Bryant (28) is behind bars at the Washington County Detention Center facing felony charges of criminal use of a prohibited weapon.

Police responded to 107 N. West End Street #204 after getting an anonymous call around 8 a.m. The caller stated there was man with "makeshift grenades."

Officers said Bryant admitted he was experimenting with explosives, and showed them to a bathroom where three devices were found. The apartment building was evacuated.

Jeanne Jimenez has lived in the complex for three years, and said she has never heard of anything happening like this before.

"That scared me, I mean somebody trying to make a bomb, can you imagine?" Jimenez said.

The neighbor said she didn't know Bryant well, adding he had only lived in the complex for a few months.

"I don't think they've been here very long, but I just don't think they should be allowed to do stuff like that," Jimenez said.

Bryant's bond had not been set as of Sunday (Nov. 9). According to the sheriff's office website, he will appear in court Wednesday Nov. 12 for his initial hearing.
