CRAWFORD COUNTY (KFSM) – A suspect has been arrested after a high-speed chase through Crawford County, authorities say.
A Crawford County deputy attempted to stop a vehicle for having a fictitious license plate, but the suspect took off, leading authorities on a high-speed chase. The Van Buren Police Department and Arkansas State Police joined in the pursuit with Crawford County deputies, according to Crawford County Sheriff Ron Brown.
The suspect eventually crashed into another car on Interstate 540 near the Kelley Highway exit, Brown said. The suspect was arrested afterward and booked into the Crawford County Detention Center, according to Brown.
One person was injured after the suspect crashed into them on Interstate 540, but the extent of their injuries is not known at this time, authorities said.
