ROGERS (KFSM) -  Mercy celebrated the opening of their new clinic in downtown Rogers on Tuesday (Nov. 18).

The 7,500 square foot facility is located at 613 N. 2nd St. in Rogers. It replaced a lot next to Harps that had been vacant for about 30 years.

"Basically everything right now is on the west side of town and there's a lot of people that live on the east side of town," said Dr. David Garrett with Mercy Downtown Rogers. "There's not really any real service for them on the east side of town, so opening this clinic will be a service for them. It's easy and it's visible. You've got two highways that intersect right here, so you don't have to find the clinic, because it's right here."

Sarah Lamprecht has been a Mercy patient for three years and said the clinic is a great addition to the east side of town.

"It's a lot easier to find and it is easier to get to," she said. "The clinic is more spacey and roomy."

The clinic has 15 Mercy co-workers and four providers, including three family doctors and a family medicine nurse practitioner. In addition to primary care, the facility also offers radiology and laboratory services.

"We've got a digital up to date radiology department and a full service lab," Garrett said. "Now, we do not run the lab here. We send it to the hospital to run, but we can draw the laboratory samples here."

The clinic officially opened two weeks ago, and doctors said they're already seeing a lot of patients coming through their doors.
