Arkansas Wears Out Wake Forest

Five Razorbacks score in double figures as they post 83-53 win over Wake Forest

It was supposed to be the first significant test of the season for Arkansas but instead it turned into a Razorbacks rout.

Arkansas jumped out to a 14-point halftime lead and then turned up the pressure on Wake Forest to post an 83-53 win at Bud Walton Arena.

Five Arkansas players finished in double figures led by Rashad Madden who had 11. Bobby Portis was held to 10 points after leading the Hogs with 24 points in their season opener.

Wake Forest struggled offensively, shooting just 32 percent from the field including 1-of-18 from 3-point range. The Demon Deacons had 22 turnovers.

Arkansas shot 52 percent from the field, including 7-of-15 from long distance. The Razorbacks' bench outscored Wake Forest's reserves 45-27. Wake Forest was led by Devin Thomas with 19 points and 10 rebounds.
