SPRINGDALE (KFSM) – A woman was hospitalized after a Springdale apartment fire, officials say.
The apartment is located at 1605 Oriole St, and the fire took place at 9:10 a.m., according to Capt. David Kissinger with the Springdale Fire Department.
The fire was contained to a small heater closet, but everyone in the apartment and surrounding units were still evacuated, Kissinger said. A mother and her child live in the apartment, and the mother went to the hospital for smoke inhalation, according to Kissinger.
Smoke damage was found throughout the apartment, Kissinger said.
Firefighters are still investigating the situation, according to Kissinger.
