OU’s Samaje Perine Sets New FBS Rushing Record

NORMAN, OKLA (KFSM) – OU freshman Samaje Perine sets a new FBS rushing record with 427 yards before the Sooners’ game with Kansas is even over.

Perine rushed 34 times, scoring five touchdowns. He left the game immediately after setting the record with OU leading 44-7 in the fourth quarter.

Melvin Gordon previously set a record last week, breaking LaDainian Tomlinson’s 15-year-old record with 408 rushing yards against Nebraska.
