ROGERS (KFSM) – A trial date has been set for an accused Rogers rapist, according to court records.

Michael Inbody, 29, was booked into the Benton County Detention Center on Nov. 8, 2013, at 1:25 p.m., according to the jail’s intake report.

Inbody’s jury trial has been scheduled for Feb. 3, 2015, at 8 a.m., court documents state.

He was charged with rape on Jan. 3, and he had an arraignment scheduled for Jan. 10, but it was suspended due to a mental examination being ordered for Inbody, according to court documents.

Another court date of May 19 was scheduled, but it too was suspended because the mental evaluation report had still not been received by the court, documents state.

A hearing was scheduled for June 30, and the court received the mental evaluation on June 20. During the June 30 hearing, the defense team for Inbody informed the court that it was looking into the possibility of getting a second mental evaluation done, according to court documents.

Because of the possibility of another mental evaluation being requested, another court date was set for July 17, court documents sate.

On July 1, Circuit Judge Robin Green sent a letter to the Arkansas Administrative Office of the Courts explaining that it wasn’t possible for a trial to occur within nine months of the charges being filed due to delays caused by waiting for mental examination results, according to court documents.

On July 23, Inbody was finally arraigned, and he entered a plea of not guilty, court records state.

A pretrial date has been set for Feb. 2, 2015, at 8 a.m., according to court records.

Inbody is being held on a $100,000 bond, the jail’s intake report states.
