FORT SMITH (KFSM) – Republican Gov.-Elect Asa Hutchinson is scheduled to speak at the University of Arkansas – Fort Smith Commencement, according to a spokesman for the university.
The university’s commencement ceremony is scheduled for Dec. 11 at 7 p.m. in the Stubblefield Center, according to a news release.
Hutchinson defeated Democratic opponent Mike Ross in the November gubernatorial election.
The ceremony will award degrees to students who have completed graduation requirements during the second summer and fall semesters, the release states.
