ROGERS (KFSM) - A  pickup truck crashed into a Rogers School District bus carrying about a dozen students on Tuesday (Dec. 9), according to police.

The incident happened around 7 a.m. Tuesday at North Dixieland Road and West Hudson Road.

Police said Jose Rivera, 45, was driving a Ford F-150 westbound on the inside lane of W. Hudson. Rivera failed to check his mirror when trying to move into the turning lane and crashed into the bus, according to police.

The bus driver Ronald Jarvis, 54, was driving westbound on W. Hudson in the turning lane at the time of the accident.

Officials with the Rogers School District said there were students from Grace Hill Elementary School, Oakdale Middle School and Heritage High School on board the bus at the time of the incident.

No injuries were reported, but medics were dispatched as a precaution.

Rivera was cited for careless driving, according to police.
