FAYETTEVILLE (KFSM) -The jury trial for a Springdale man accused of killing his mother and then making a beer run was set to begin on Monday (Dec. 15) but will be rescheduled to start after Jan. 1, officials said.
Scott Rocha, 36, was arrested on March 8 on suspicion of shooting his mother in the back of the head and killing her. According to court documents, Rocha killed his mother, Frances Rocha, following an all-day drinking binge and then went to get more beer after being unable to load her into a car.
A new trial date is expected to be set next week, officials said.
