FORT SMITH (KFSM)- Reginald Curtis, 39, led Fort Smith police officers on a high speed chase around 12:30 a.m. Sunday (Dec. 14), according to Sgt. Jason Thompson.

Curtis was arrested after he lost control of his car on a curve, crashing into an embankment on N. 12th and N. Oak Street, Thompson said.

Fort Smith police officers responded to a business on the 5000 block of N. 10th street regarding Curtis, Thompson said. The owner of the business wanted to get Curtis off the property, police said.

When officers arrived, Curtis ran off in his car.

He faces fleeing, driving without a license, no proof of insurance, no seat belt and reckless driving.
