About thirty students at Fairview Elementary School put together hundreds of cheer bags on Thursday (Dec.18). This is all to brighten one person's morning this holiday season.

It's been a tradition nine years in the making. "We started at 125 the first year and its grown," said teacher Lisa Sellers.

Sellers started this organization when her mother was in the hospital during the holiday season.

"It's nice to see them happy because their missing out on Christmas with their families," said student Jennifer Bates.

Students stuffed a total of 600 bags to be delivered on Christmas morning. Area hospitals said they love the kids come in and spread a little cheer around the holidays.
