SALLISAW (KFSM)- The Sequoyah County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man Tuesday (Dec. 23) night in connection with a burglary.
Danny Trudeau, 44, was taken in by police at his mother’s home in Sallisaw, according to Sheriff Ron Lockhart. Deputies also arrested his mother, Brenda Brazell, on suspicion of harboring a fugitive after she picked Trudeau up from a Mcintosh jail and then told authorities he wasn’t inside the home.
Trudeau broke into a home Friday (Dec. 19), stealing firearms and Christmas presents, which the sheriff’s office recovered in Mcintosh County on Tuesday, according to Lockhart. He also adds that Trudeau has been selling the stolen firearms.
Trudeau faces charges stemming from an outstanding warrant of second-degree burglary and possession of a firearm while on parole, according to Lockhart.
The suspect’s charges for his current arrest are still pending. Authorities said he’s scheduled to appear before a judge on Dec. 31, but it’s likely to change due to it landing on a holiday.
