CNN – A California woman bought her boyfriend a Playstation 4 for Christmas, but when the box was opened, all that was inside were two Bibles.
There wasn’t a game system in the box at all.
“I felt embarrassed. I felt like, you know, I just ruined Christmas for him and everybody else,” said Sandra Ortiz, the woman who bought the gaming console.
She was worried that management at Target (where she bought the item from) wouldn’t believe her story, but they did end up giving her a real Playstation 4.
“He said he didn’t want the Bibles unless they were autographed by Jesus himself,” Ortiz said.
There is still no word on how the original swap was made, but Ortiz recommends checking the box when making an expensive purpose.
