Vandals Damage 16 Fort Smith Vehicles In Three Days

FORT SMITH (KFSM) – Fort Smith police are investigating a rash of vandalism cases, after 16 vehicles were damaged between Saturday and Tuesday.

Police have received 16 reports in the last three days of shattered or damaged windows to vehicles parked in front of homes. No thefts were reported in the acts of vandalism, said Sgt. Daniel Grubbs, public information officer for the Fort Smith Police Department.

Police said they took three reports from Fifth Street, two from Lexington Avenue and one each from S Street, O Street, M Street, Memphis Street, Charlotte Lane, 23^rd Street, R Street and Hardie Avenue.

The vandalism cases occurred between the nighttime hours of Saturday and the early morning hours of Tuesday, police said.
