FORT SMITH (KFSM) – Fort Smith police are investigating a rash of vandalism cases, after 16 vehicles were damaged between Saturday and Tuesday.

Police have received 16 reports in the last three days of shattered or damaged windows to vehicles parked in front of homes. No thefts were reported in the acts of vandalism, said Sgt. Daniel Grubbs, public information officer for the Fort Smith Police Department.

Police said they took three reports from Fifth Street, two from Lexington Avenue and one each from S Street, O Street, M Street, Memphis Street, Charlotte Lane, 23rd Street, R Street and Hardie Avenue.

The vandalism cases occurred between the nighttime hours of Saturday and the early morning hours of Tuesday, police said.

2500 block of Memphis Street                    2200 block of South 23rd Street

2800 block of Hardie Avenue                                  600 block of North 5th Street

1300 block of North 5th Street                                 1000 – 1100 block of North 5th Street

2200 block of North “R” Street
