Storey Named MaxPreps Small Schools Player Of The Year

Quarterback Ty Storey has finished his career at Charleston and is already practicing at the University of Arkansas, but he is still collecting high school accolades. Storey was named the MaxPreps 2014 Small Schools Player of the Year on Monday.

Storey finished his career at Charleston with 12,860  passing yards, ranking third in state history. His 154 touchdown passes ranks second.

Storey first started as a sophomore in 2012, throwing for 4,397 yards and 48 touchdowns. His junior season he tallied 4,241 yards and 52 touchdowns. During his senior season he threw for 4,159 yards andbecame a threat on the ground. Storey rushed for 20 touchdowns on top of his 53 passing touchdowns.

Storey ended his career with 29 straight wins and led Charleston to back to back state championships. He was also named the Gatorade Arkansas Player of the Year in 2013 and 2014.

He arrived on campus in mid December, went through bowl practices and will participate in winter workouts and spring practice.
