(KFSM) – Chipotle restaurants in both Fayetteville and Bentonville have stopped serving pork at their locations, employees confirm.
Employees told 5NEWS that the decision is thought to be temporary.
The Huffington Post reported that Chipotle stopped serving pork at hundreds of its restaurants after suspending a supplier that “violated its standards.” The Denver-based chain said that there was no timeline for when pork would return to the menu of affected stores, Huffington Post reported.
“It’s hard to say how long it will last,” a spokesman for the company said.
In all, about one third of the company’s businesses were affected, according to the report.
