MISSOURI (KFSM) – People who hate using public restrooms now have a new option available to them thanks to a new smartphone app called Airpnp.

The app, only available on iPhone as of Jan. 25, allows people who are out and about to rent private restrooms, according to the maker’s website.

“Airpnp gives you access to a ton of restrooms all over the planet,” a post on the app’s website states. “Whether you’re just out and about, at a big event or need to find a place to go in a new city, we’ve got you covered.”

Users download the app, find a bathroom near them, load credit card information into the app and then can rent out the use of a nearby public restroom.

The app works similarly for restroom owners who want to rent out their facilities. They register their bathroom with the app, give it a brief description, upload its location, add a picture and they can start making it available for customers after that.

Although no facilities have yet been set up for use in Arkansas or Oklahoma, one is available in southwest Missouri. It’s just north of Halltown, and the price for using it is $10.

The facility’s description is:

“[We’re] two miles from Historic Route 66, three miles off Interstate 44. [It’s] cleaned after each guest. Magazines are available if needed to help you go. [There’s] a roomy shower available to freshen up and be on your way for an additional $25.”

Airpnp is free for download from the iPhone’s app store.
