After 12 straight days of above normal weather the pattern will shift late week with a return to more seasonable temperatures. The last below normal day was on Jan 14th.
The average temperature for late January is around the upper 40s to near 50º.
Highs this week will surge into the 60s to nearly 70º in response to a strengthening ridge in the middle of the country. A cold front will move into the area late week with highs falling into the 40s.
As far the possibility of winter weather there may be a slim chance the rain could mix with snow this weekend but currently no significant winter systems are set to move into Arkansas/Oklahoma.
We have 32 minutes more sunshine today than we had on December 26th.
