Fort Smith Fire Department Host “Burns Night”

FORT SMITH (KFSM)- Hundreds of people headed  to downtown Fort Smith Saturday (Jan. 31) to support the fire department.

It’s all for the Fort Smith Firefighters Foundation, “Burns Night” at Bricktown Brewery on Garrison Ave.

Fire department officials said the event honors fallen firefighters. The” Burns Night” supper is a fundraiser for the firefighters pipe and drum group.

The event included live music and food.

“It has blown up,” said Battalion Chief Tery Graves. “We’ve sold out all of our tickets last week and we expect a very large crowd, over 200 people are expected to come out tonight.”

The event kicked off around 6 p.m. and wraps up at 10 p.m.
