Fayetteville Police Officer Being Investigated After Woman Says He Slapped Her
FAYETTEVILLE (KFSM) – A Fayetteville Police Officer is being investigated by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office after a woman said he slapped her, according to a spokeswoman for the sheriff’s office.
Sgt. Dominic Swanfeld was placed on paid administrative leave on Saturday (Jan. 31), according to his employee time card report.
The Fayetteville Police Department asked the Washington County Sheriff’s Office to investigate after a woman said he slapped her twice at Swanfeld’s residence in Fayetteville, the spokeswoman said.
Swanfeld was suspended in 2014 after an unrelated investigation by the Fayetteville Police Department.
He has been with the department since 1997.
