(KFSM) – A winter weather advisory has been issued for multiple Arkansas and Oklahoma counties, according to the National Weather Service.
In Arkansas, the advisory was issued for the following counties:
- Benton
- Washington
- Carroll
- Madison
In Oklahoma, the advisory was issued for Cherokee and Adair counties.
“Areas of freezing drizzle have developed behind a strong cold, and this freezing drizzle will persist and expand southward through the evening and into the early morning hours,” the advisory states. “Trace amounts of ice accumulation are possible until 4 a.m. on Thursday (Feb. 5).”
