FAYETTEVILLE (KFSM) – Crews are responding to an multi-car accident on Interstate-49 between Wedington and Porter exits.
The accident happened around 1:15 p.m. Fire officials said two SUVS, two cars and one motorcycle were involved.
Two people were transported to the hospital. It is unclear how serious their injuries are, according to fire officials on scene.
Traffic was at a standstill at one point while crews worked the scene. Traffic is now moving again.
Four adults and one teenager were involved in the accident, according to fire officials.
Several Fayetteville fire engines as well as state police and central EMS worked the accident.
