BENTON COUNTY (KFSM) - Demolition work will require a lane closure on Interstate 49 this week in Benton County, according to Arkansas State Highway and Transportation officials.
Crews will be replacing the Highway 264 bridge over I-49 in Lowell and will create a concrete barrier wall along the interstate's southbound median shoulder under the overpass, according to a release. This will require closing the southbound inside lane.
In addition to the lane closure, northbound and southbound traffic will be stopped for 15-minute intervals during overhead demolition work to protect traffic from falling objects, the release states.
The work will happen Feb. 10 through Feb. 11 between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m., according to the release.
