NWS: Winter Storm Warning Set For Sunday In Arkansas, Oklahoma Counties

(KFSM) – Multiple counties in Arkansas and Oklahoma will be under a winter storm warning on Sunday evening (Feb. 15) at 6 p.m., according to the National Weather Service.

The warning will remain effective from Sunday evening (Feb. 15) through Monday morning (Feb. 16).

“Precipitation over northeast Oklahoma and Northwest Arkansas will transition this evening from rain, to a brief period of freezing rain, a substantial period of sleet and finally snow,” the warning states.

One half inch to one inch of sleet can be expected, along with one to three inches of snow between 6 p.m. this evening and 12 p.m. on Monday (Feb. 16), according to the National Weather Service.
