FAYETTEVILLE (KFSM) –  With sunny weather expected to hit our area Saturday afternoon (Feb. 14th), one suggestion for you and your date on Valentine’s Day is the annual Fat Saturday Parade of Fools.

The parade starts at the Fayetteville Square at 2:00 p.m. then proceeds north on Block Street and east onto Dickson Street, before ending on West Street. This event is a lead up to the city’s Fat Tuesday celebration starting Tuesday night  (Feb. 17th) on Dickson Street.

Organizers say in a news release this is a family-friendly event with costumes, floats, and beads. For more information, including on building a float, click on this link.
