LOWELL (KFSM) – Highway 71-B at West Monroe is back open Tuesday morning (Feb. 17) after being temporarily blocked due to an accident involving two semis.
Lowell Police Chief Randy Harvey said a truck braked, slide on the icy road and side swiped another semi. One driver complained of a wrist injury but was not transported to the hospital, according to Harvey.
Lowell Police said the accident happened at that intersection just after 8 a.m. Officers on scene were out directing traffic around the accident until 8:20 a.m.
Harvey said both trucks were traveling northbound at the time of the accident.
