SPRINGDALE (KFSM) – About 2,300 utility customers were without power temporarily in Springdale early Monday (March 2), according to a spokesman for Southwestern Electric Power Co.
Power for all the customer was restored by 10:45 a.m., said Peter Main, SWEPCO spokesman.
The outage began about 7:25 a.m. near the South Thompson Street railroad crossing, Main said. The outage was caused when a piece of equipment failed on a power line near that site, he said.
Main said crews were working Monday morning to restore power. By 9 a.m., power was restored for 1,000 customers. Another 200 customers had their power restored by 10 a.m., with the remainder back in operation by 10:45 a.m., Main said.
