SPRINGDALE (KFSM) -Officers with Springdale Police are investigating an aggravated robbery that sent one woman to the hospital early Thursday morning (Mar. 5).

Authorities said the robbery was reported at a home on the east side of town just after 12:15 a.m.

When officers arrived on scene, they found a woman with obvious injuries to her face. The woman told officers that when she arrived home, two men approached her and demanded money. When the woman told them she didn’t have any money, the men began to physically assault her, authorities said.

While the assault was in progress, a family member inside the home heard the argument and walked outside, authorities said. The two suspects then ran away from the scene, according to authorities.

The woman was taken to Northwest Medical Center to be treated for her injuries. Since then, she has been released from the hospital.

Springdale Police are now searching for the two men responsible. Authorities are not releasing a description of either suspect at this time.

Anyone with any information about what happened or the suspects is asked to call Springdale Police or the Northwest Arkansas Crimestoppers at 790-TIPS.
