FORT SMITH (KFSM) - On a "5NEWS This Morning" segment that aired Saturday (Mar. 7th), anchor Daren Bobb brought on Eddie Lee Herndon, the new Executive Director of the United Way of Fort Smith. Herndon moved to Fort Smith from Jackson, Tennessee but shared that his roots are traced back to the Arkansas city. He spent more than a decade working at a local university in Tennessee before going to United Way. When asked how he will address the high unemployment in the area, he says Jackson and Fort Smith have similarities in both being located along Interstate 40.
