GREENWOOD (KFSM) – Fire officials responded to a gas spill in Greenwood on Monday morning (March 16) at 9 a.m.
The spill happened at Flash Market at 129 W. Center St., according to fire personnel. The overflow valve popped off of the tanker refilling gas tanks at the station, spilling gallons of gas, according to Greenwood Fire Chief Stewart Bryan.
The area is blocked off at the gas station, but everything is contained, Bryan said.
According to fire personnel, a hazmat crew is on the way to finish cleaning up the mess.
