***ROGERS POLICE ARE WORKING AN ACCIDENT AT THE INTERSECTION OF 8TH AND WALNUT. TRAFFIC IS BLOCKED IN THAT AREA. ***

NORTHWEST ARKANSAS:

Bentonville – Street closure on SW A Street between 4th Street and 6th Street. This comes as Bentonville Water Utilities Department is replacing a water main and service lines along those closed streets. It’s expected to open back up in April.

Fayetteville – Armstrong Ave. – Stone Bridge Road will see delays in construction zones while crews widen State Highway 16 from two lanes to four lanes with sidewalks and bike lanes. Traffic signals will be installed at three intersections. Should be complete by early 2015.

Fayetteville – East Dickson Street between North Willow and North Olive avenues will be closed from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Thursday (Mar. 19th), Friday (Mar. 20th), and Saturday (Mar. 21th).

I-49 – Slowdowns expected in Washington County as crews work to widen the Johnson Mill Blvd. overpass and access ramps on Interstate 49. This project is expected to be completed early this year.

I-49 – Crews are working to widen 2.5 miles of Interstate 49 from New Hope Rd. to Hwy. 62. The project is expected to be finished in late 2015.

Hwy 112 – Spur will see delays. It’s being widened from two to four lanes.

Benton County – McKissic Creek Road and Hwy 71B will experience delays over the next 60 days due to rock blasting for the Bella Vista Bypass. Expect delays each day from 9am-3pm.

Hwy 16 – Near Porter Rd. will see delays. The project plans to widen portions of I-49 to six lanes. It’s expected to be done by mid-2015.

Hwy 16 – Delays on the bridge over the West Fork White River. This as crews work to widen the existing highway to four lanes.

Hwy 74 – Possible delays on Highway 74 near White River Road. Purpose is to replace a structurally deficient bridge and approaches east of Fayetteville near Elkins in Washington County.

Hwy 265 – Delays are expected while crews widen portions of Hwy. 265 from E. Joyce Blvd in Fayetteville to the Hwy. 412 exit in Springdale. This project is expected to be completed in mid-2015.

Hwy 264 – Delays are expected near the Wagon Wheel exit of Interstate 49 due to an ongoing Hwy. improvement project. The purpose of this project is to widen 2.5 miles of Interstate 49 to three lanes in Springdale in Benton County.

Bella Vista Bypass – Delays are expected on Hwy. 72 due to a highway land widening project. This construction is expected to conclude in mid-2016.

Avoca-North Garfield – U.S. Hwy 62 is being widened to five lanes. The project is expected to be finished by early 2015.

RIVER VALLEY:

I-540 – Construction is currently underway requiring a lane to close from the Arkansas/Oklahoma state line to the U.S. Highway 71 Interchange. The work begins at 9 a.m. each day and ends at 6 a.m. the following day. This project will repair the interstate’s concrete, plus the exit and entrance ramps of the U.S. 271, Jenny Lind, and U.S. 71, according to a news release from the Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department. Officials state that the project won’t be complete under the summer of 2015.

I-40 – Resurfacing of the interstate will reduce traffic to one lane in both the east and west bound lanes near Sallisaw from Dwight Mission Rd to US-59. This project will last until the spring of 2015.

Hwy 22 – Crews will be overlaying more than 2 miles of Highway 22 at Fort Chaffee. This project is expected to be complete by early 2015.
