FAYETTEVILLE (KFSM) - While the Razorbacks are playing in Jacksonville, many fans are packing local restaurants and bars to cheer on the team.

“Pizza on game nights, it is kind of a tradition,” said Chad Hays, a Razorbacks fan. “You either got to do wings, or you got to have that party food.”

Razorback Pizza on Martin Luther King Blvd. in Fayetteville was one of many local restaurants which was packed with Razorback fans for Saturday’s (March 21) game.

“The energy here is really cool” Hays said.

Hays says he was in Fayetteville, from Louisiana, and wanted to watch the game while enjoying food at a local restaurant.

“Pizza probably goes best with beer and basketball, and sports in general,” Hays said.

Razorback Pizza assistant manager Ronnie Sheldon says the food they serve goes hand-in-hand with sports.

“Pizza, beer, and sports. It is great,” Sheldon said.

Which is why Sheldon says business picks up so much on game day.

“On game day, it is boom-boom-boom. People start coming in, and it gets real fast paced. It is a lot of fun,” Sheldon said.
