WACO, TEXAS (KFSM) – The Arkansas women’s basketball team drops second round game 73-44 to Baylor in the Women’s NCAA Tournament on Sunday in Waco, Texas.
It was a back and fourth match up until the final nine minutes of play in the first half. Baylor pulled away 20-14, and never looked back.
Jessica Jackson led the hogs with 15 points, and five rebounds, followed by Melissa Wolff with 13 points.
Baylor’s defense came alive and shut down Arkansas, holding them without a field goal for nine minutes.
The Bears opened up the second half with an 8-0 run and the Hog’s offense never got back on track.
Arkansas finished the game shooting 24.6 percent on the 15-for-61 from the floor. They were 2-for-16 from behind the arc, and 12-for-19 from the free throw line with 32 rebounds.
