POPE COUNTY (KFSM) – A 20-year-old Dardanelle woman is dead after a crash in Pope County on March 24, according to Arkansas State Police.

Tara M. Miller, 20, was killed after the motorcycle she was on struck a 2008 Dodge pickup truck. She was the passenger on a 2007 Harley-Davidson being driven by a man identified as Austen B. Cathcart, 20, of Dover, police said.

At 8:20 p.m., the driver of a 2008 Dodge pickup truck made a left turn near Round Rock Road into the path of the Harley-Davidson Miller and Cathcart were on, according to authorities. Then, Cathcart struck the truck with his motorcycle.

Cathcart was injured in the accident and taken to Saint Mary’s Regional Medical Center before later being transferred to the UAMS facility in Little Rock, according to Arkansas State Police.

The road conditions were normal, and the weather was clear at the time of the crash, according to the report.
