The Sun, the Moon, & the Earth will all for a straight line Saturday morning with a full lunar eclipse occurring. With the recent cold front, we should have optimum conditions for viewing.

Here are the times to view the eclipse in Western Arkansas and Eastern Oklahoma on Saturday morning April 4th.

  • Start: 5:16am
  • Totality: 6:58am
  • Peak: 7:00am
  • Ends: 7:03AM

The total eclipse is expected to be a shortest one this century lasting only 4:43min. This eclipse is often referred to as a blood moon due to the reddish color. Thanks to NWS-Tulsa for providing timing.
