“You got the love story along with the bull riding — dangerous love, all the same time. It’ll be good,” Jessica Kripps said before heading into the theater.

20-year-old Lane Lasley of North Little Rock is a professional bull rider.

“I’m too lazy to work and too honest to steal, so that’s why I ride bulls. It’s just fun — I like living life on the edge,” Lasley said.

He’s one of 35 men from around the world competing Saturday night (April 11) at the PBR Fort Smith Invitational.

“From Australia, Canada, Brazil, and all over the states, a lot of guys from everywhere,” Lasley said.

Kripps said the movie will have a special meaning to her because her oldest son rides bulls.

“Obviously it’s dangerous — just get that adrenaline rush. But you know, they try it once and they’re hooked it seems like,” Kripps said.

Lasley said he’s willing to risk it all in order to compete in the sport he loves.

“Tomorrow might be my last bull, so you just never know — I like living life on the edge,” Lasley said.

The invitational starts at 8:00 p.m. Saturday at Kay Rodgers Park.
