TULSA, OK. (KFOR)–  Police are investigating after an 11-month-old girl and three other children were found alone in apartment after it caught fire early Sunday morning.

Fire crews were called to the Apache Manor Apartments near Apache St. and Harvard Ave. around 2 a.m. Sunday (April 12). When they arrived, the upstairs was engulfed in smoke, according to KOKI.

Four children, an 11-month-old, a 3-year-old, 6-year-old and a 13-year-old, were all in the home without adult supervision when crews arrived.

The 11-month-old had to be rescued from her crib and given CPR at the scene. She later died at the hospital, according to officials. The 3-year-old was taken to the hospital for observation.

Child Crisis detectives were on the scene of that fire and have interviewed the mother.

The fire is still under investigation as well as why the children were left alone.
